Right. Englands first 11 has had the same core of players for an age.
Who should be the players to get a shout for the England team. If you could pick an England XI, not necessarily the best one, for a one off friendly, which players would you like to see given a run out?
In this thread it would be good to see either your England XI, your one off England XI, or players you think should deserve a run out over the next few months. Here is my 11, which I would be interested to see play.
Green
Cole, A
Ferdinand
Terry
Richards
Cole
Gerrard
Hargreaves
Bentley
Roony
Agbonlahor.

England doesn't have a meaningful game until the World Cup qualifiers in I believe September, so Capello has some time to get people healthy and playing together as a team.

My starting 11 for the first qualifier would be

Foster
A. Cole
Ferdinand
Terry
Richards
J. Cole
Gerrard
Hargreaves
Bentley
Rooney
Owen

I hope no Chelsea players are picked as they only come back injured.... so please take my team from a mixture of the other clubs. In saying that... I wish the Italian well and look forward to him upsetting many along the way.

Chelsea players will inevitably be picked. Unless they go the way of Arsenal and sign all foreigners of course. Chelsea buy the best players, and if they are English they are likely to be the better ones.
Bad luck.

The Terry's, Ferdinands, Gerrards; Rooney's etc we all know what they can deliver when they're on top form and when they're as poor as a bag of horse manure. So intially I would like to see how some new, under 21's, or previously discarded players would fair, just to keep some of the more established players on their toes, so here's my XI for a friendly assuming they would all be fit:-

Green
Baines
Upson
Carragher
Richards
Bentley
Jagielka
Noble
Young
Ashton
Agbonlarhor

For my XI:

Green/James

Richards
A. Ferdinand
Upson (C)
M. Ball

Young
Barry
Bentley
Reo-Coker

M. Bent
Vassell

Just a VERY random selection to see how they would fair..
