Wow, it dawns on me that this is the first time i have started a topics for ages.

Just finished watching thge game and am amazed. First of all, amazingly angry.

I just cannot understand how we could put up such a poor show. For 90 minutes we failed to keep any possession. We failed to put up any fight. It was as if we scored early, and it was job done.

Credit to Bayern as well, before I go too crazy with Utd criticisms. They fought hard and deserved what they got, althought a draw might have been fairer...I dont know.

With Rooney looking like he will now miss Chelsea at least, Utds make or break week is fast turning into a disaster.

I thought it was a very poor performance. After United scored in the first minute they seemed to sit back and let Bayern come at them. Could have been a lot worse than 2-1. Bayern missed a couple of good chances and Van der Sar made a couple of good saves.

The game changed around the 70th minute when Ferguson took of Carrick and Park and brought on Berbatov and Giggs. I understand what he was trying to do. Thought Bayern were trying and he could grab the second goal and kill of the tie. However, neither Giggs or Berbatov could get into the game and space opened up for Bayern to score a couple of goals.

All in in all down only a goal with an away goal is not that bad of position to be in. But with Robben and Schweinsteiger back next game Bayern will be stronger next time out. The major problem could be Rooney's injury, looks like he rolled over on his ankle and hopefully just a bad sprain.
