Just would like to point while the media have their tounges up his ass as though he is in the cheat Maradona & Pele class, he has never done that to Chelsea in the half a dozen attempts he has had.

In fact I would go as far as to say the only baring he has had in those 6 games is to get one of our players sent off by rolling around like a little child.

Dont get taken in by what the crazy man Wenger said after the game. He, like many others it must be said has always played down Ronaldo (he isnt anywhere near the class of the cheat n Pele too) and by heaping so much praise on one player, it deflects what really happened on the night. The exposure of his team being out of its depth.

When Messi gets the ball wide right, I can close my eyes and tell u what he is going to do. 99% of the time he cut inside so the ball is on his left foot. Ashley never has much trouble with him, but what we have found when Ashley has missed games n games before he was our left back, a right footed left back gets to use their strong foot to time tackles when he cuts inside. Gallas Ferrier and Belletti have all had succesful games against Messi all right footed and taken turns at left back for us against Barca.

The boy is a good player who is exciting to watch - but to say he is the best in the world by as big a margin as the Arsenal village idiot would have you believe - and to put him in the same bracket as the true gods of the game - I strongly suggest you dont get sucked into his bullshit as it tends to linger on ones body for as long as his club has been without a trophy.

While I agree that bumming Messi is an obvious response after he scores 4 goals to knock out Arsenal, I think you have to acknowledge him as one of the best.

He has 38-39 goals this season, which is no mean feat. He carried Barcelona last night when they were without their other star players. Of course, Arsenal were without 5 or so of their best players. What I am trying to say is, Barca were in need of a Messi performance and he delivered. He could only beat what was in front of him, and that he did.

As far as comparing him to worlds best goes, he will never leave Barca. And performing season inseason out in Europes B league will not be enough to be considered a true great. That is unless he wins numerous European cups and performs on the world stage also.

Time will tell.

In summary, one of the worlds best no doubt. But last night was just a good performance, a special performance, but no need to drool over him just yet.

What he did last night - Drogba has been doing for years against Arsenal - and against thier A defence too.

Are you saying Drogba is better than Messi? If so, the world in general has got this best player thing, all wrong.

Drogba is good against Arsenal because they are not built to deal with his build. They cannot deal with his presence. Messi does what he does to almost everyone. Of course, there will always be the odd team he does not perform well against (you are quick to point out Chelsea), but more often than not, he is unstoppable.

Never said Drogba is better - pointing out what Messi did last night isnt something we havent seen before done to Arsenal.

No he doesnt do it against everyone, like Ronaldo - never done it against Chelsea - and they both fail big style to produce as high in their national shirt.

Maradona won a world cup on his own - Pele won numourous while being the best player at each tourlament.

The very best do it in the summer in a national shirt - we shall see then.

Ever since he first started at Barca, coming through the youth ranks, then Ronaldinho was the best in the world, Messi would come on and kinda score his goals for Ronaldinho.. i don't think he realised how good he was. But he would score, and point at Ronaldinho saying "This is for you" I said back then, when he was 17 or whatever it was.. that he would be the best in the world when he's older.. and hate to say i was right Wink I have convinced my mates in recent years that he is better than Ronaldo, when they were all bumming over him. Laughing Messi has something like 7 in 8 against Real Madrid, Ronaldo has 0 in 4 or 5 against Barca, i think.

Also, we cannot forget how good Xavi is.. he makes the likes of Gerrard look average. He's the best midfielder in the world, in my opinion. Just a shame he's getting a bit old now.

Here are his stats from the 2 games in the Champions League -

Back to Messi, i think he is a world cup winners medal away from being regarded as the best ever.. he's still only 22 aswell. Got plenty of his career left, and already being compared in the same line of the greatest ever. He really is a genius though.. what he can do with his feet, I've never seen anything like it.

This is when he got a hat trick in La Liga a week or 2 back.

How good is that goal.

Told you - He has never done to Chelsea and now Inter close him out of two games.

Well done Jose - Simply the best there is!
