| Very good game to watch, lots of chances with better finishing could have a been a high scoring game. Barcelona were totally dominant in the first half and Arsenal were lucky to be only one down at half time. Not sure if Barcelona sat back in the second half or were tired but great second half by Arsenal. Sets up the return match to be a great one in Spain. _________________ |

| Barcelona should have had at least three inside the first half an hour. Unbelievably poor finishing by Messi. _________________ |

| well a mate of mine is convinced Arsenal will get knocked out of the CL by Barca and go onto win the premiership cause United will draw Chelsea in the QF of CL meaning they play each other 4 times in so many weeks - with the 6th round of the FA Cup also a possible fixture between the two sides if Chelsea get past Everton. |

| I don't think United and Chelsea will be drawn against each other in the Cups that early, not until the semis at least providing they both make it. It's possible that United and Chelsea will end up playing each other 4 or 5 times (champions league semi final) the last month of the season. But if Chelsea get by Everton the two league games will be in May and hopefully be dead rubbers. The meetings in the FA cup and champions league wont be til mid April and hopefully Arsenal will have dropped a few points and be out of the league race by then. Wishful thinking but one can hope. _________________ |

| A wonderful game. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I was actually quite pleased for Arsenal.
Say what you like about how many Barca should have got, but the fact is, Arsenal showed good fight and excellent character, which we can't usually say of them. A lot of Arsenal players impressed, Wilshere and Koscielny to name but two.
Of course, Arsenal at their best cannot beat a Barcelona side at their best, but last night they beat what was in front of them. Can't do more than that.
Barca had 82% possession at the weekend against Gijon and drew. Arsenal would take that in 3 weeks time!!! |

| You can't look at the last 30 minutes of that game as a complete entity. Not to take anything away from Arsenal, because it was a gutsy fightback. However, it looked to me that Barcelona felt they had done enough after the first hour, relaxed and Arsenal made them pay.
Also if United had only won 2-1 at home in the first leg and still had to go to Barcelona, I would be concerned. Losing the first leg 2-1 away, is not a bad result in Europe.
Arsenal have to go to Barcelona and get at least a draw, or score more than once in a one goal defeat and that's not going to be easy. _________________ |

I wouldn't say so. It's just because we are all so used to seeing him make stuff look easy. Unbelievably poor is extremely harsh. That chip would of been a class goal had it gone it.. alot harder than he makes it look to execute. |

| Another good tie ruined by poor refereeing. How many more....
Feeling robbed tonight of a fair contest. |

While Barcelona were the better team over two legs, Arsenal does have a case about poor decisions.
It's unfortunate but poor refereeing does seem to be the theme for the season.

| The Barcelona helping hand strikes again ~ I have never known a club get so much help from Refs ~ one second after he blew his whistle, Van Persie shot ~ How the hell can that be a Red Card? ~ Pathetic |
