A number of comments that this a is a really good signing for Liverpool, maybe a great one. I can't say I remember much about him at the Copa America, as I was watching his defensive partner Lugano.

He is technical, good on the ball and tactically/positionally aware. More often than not he will disposes the opposition through interceptions and anticipation of how things will play out. If needs be he will put himself about and get a good tackle in, but he is not a bullying hardman or anything remotely like that.

Sounds a decent player if true. Some serious rebuilding going on at Liverpool. Still don't think they will win anything but they do seem to have a plan in mind and are moving in the right direction.

From what I have read of him - and to be perfectly honest other than your post above and the BBC's south american footy pundit he seems like he is well made for the Premier League - look forward to him in cup games and covering the inevitable injury we will get to Danny Agger
