Reports have it that Jurgern Klinsmann will take over at Bayern Munich when Ottmar Hitzfeld steps down at the end of the season. This will be his first job as a club coach after coaching Germany to the Semi Finals and then third place of the last World Cup.
This effectively ends his link as an outsider for the Newcastle job. It is soon to be seen how he will fare at the highest level.

Bayern Munich have made it official now, Klinsmann will take over from Ottmar Hitzfeld at the start of next season. Not sure why Hitzfeld is stepping down, they are top of the league and favourites to win the uefa Cup.

This a big step for Klinsmann, he is starting at top. Still think he should have taken a job with a smaller club. He has never managed at the club level, never dealt with players on a daily basis other than the short tournament time and never dealt in the transfer market. Will be interesting to see how he gets on. Wonder what those connected with Bayern Munich think when they read; when asked why he had chosen Bayern over the Premier League, he replied: "Because I did not have any offers from England." Seems like Bayern Munich was his second choice.

Well at least Benitez can sleep a little easier, Klinsmann won't be going to Liverpool, now if the rumours of Mourinho going to A C Milan are true than Benitez may remain at Liverpool for some time.

Who in their right mind would prefer a job in the second rate Bundesliga, to coaching in the best league in the world.
