PostSubject: Ideas to attract new members   Mon May 04, 2009 12:43 am

Was wondering if anyone can come up with a few ideas to attract a few new members?

I have been posting the link where ever I go on the net that may attract some action. Anyone know how we can link the site to any of the search engines? Maybe set up a group on face book or other such sites.

Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Why don't you just tell people to register, Via Facebook.

Update your status on FB .. too the link of this site.. and' i am sure a few will see it.. or tell people about it on Facebook.. but thats just a quick idea off top of my head.

Posted a note on my wall on Facebook with a link to the site. Maybe others could do the same.

With my rugby forum for Salford city reds I created a group on facebook and advertised on other Salford groups, rugby groups etc and sent bulletins to members with links.
You will be suprised by the amount of members you get via this way.
Make it sound attrctive and post the link wherever possible.
Register the site with google and the other search sites.
It helps.
However Rome wasn't built in a day and it can take some time Smile

The problem is neither Tick nor I are very good at that sort of thing. Have tried to those things, but obviously have not done it correctly.

Nice work huzup.

When I've got a spare minute I'll create a facebook group

EDIT: that's if there hasn't already been one done by the time I get round to it lol.

I dont know if the site has a email address will have to ask Tick, as well as a link to the pictures on the top of the banner.

Anyone of Facebook should invite all their friends to join the group.

Not sure what help this would do but do we have a website hits counter to see how many we hits we get during the day?

There were about 4 guests online a few moments ago and they were from the far east, one in Italy, one from America and one in the UK...
